About Kate

Hello there, and thank you for stopping by! I'm Kate Moyer, a somatic practitioner in Franklin, Tennessee.

Since the beginning of my career as a yoga instructor, I’ve felt called to serve those who wrestle with unresolved trauma and constant mental battles. Since I completed my yoga instructor training (E-RYT) and yoga therapist certification (C-IAYT) in 2014, my heart for helping others has led me to pursue further education in Trauma-Sensitive Yoga and complementary modalities. I've completed training in Mindfulness-Based Self-Compassion through Dr. Kristin Neff, and I’ve studied the SomEx method, a somatic experiential healing program designed for individuals affected by trauma. I have also received Level I, Level II, & Cervical /Thoracic certifications in studying myofascial release techniques under world-renowned practitioner John F. Barnes.

My work started in yoga studios and from there I started a Yoga Therapy program at an addiction recovery center for 7 years. This work gave me a love for teaching in smaller group settings which then took me to Counseling Centers, Non-Profits, and even into the business world as a speaker. I’ve worked with clients of all ages and backgrounds in my private practice for almost a decade but I wouldn’t be doing this work if I hadn’t experienced the benefits of these modalities firsthand. The techniques I’ve studied have helped me to find healing from trauma and face challenges in my own life. I believe my personal experiences have opened the door for me to provide you with the empathy, support, and knowledge you need to find hope and make lasting changes in your life.

No matter what you’re facing or what you’ve walked through in the past, I believe you can find healing and peace in your mind and body, and I pray you'll have the courage to take the first step in that journey. I’m here, I’m ready to help, and I can’t wait to walk alongside you as you move forward.
